VIA DEI MILLE · SICILIA is an olfactory journey that began in the 1950s in Sicily. Founder Salvatore Scorsonelli produced flower essences in his artisanal distillery, focusing on Zagara, the delicate yet intoxicating blossom of the bitter orange tree. Located on Via dei Mille, in front of his house in Noto, amidst a typical Sicilian garden filled with jasmine, almond, and citrus trees, Salvatore set up his distillery. For over a decade, he manufactured one of the most precious floral oils used in perfumes. This essence, of the finest quality and extracted by steam distillation, was shipped to France for the perfumery industry of Grasse. In 2011, Stefano Alderuccio, one of Salvatore's grandsons, retraced his grandfather's steps and distillery methods, leading to the rebirth of VIA DEI MILLE.
