VIA DEI MILLE · SICILIA: A Legacy of Sicilian Perfumery Reborn

VIA DEI MILLE · SICILIA is a luxury niche fragrance house that takes you on an olfactory journey through Sicily, tracing its roots back to the 1950s. Founded by Salvatore Scorsonelli, a visionary artisan distiller, the brand’s heritage is deeply connected to Zagara, the delicate yet intoxicating blossom of the bitter orange tree, a signature note in high-end perfumery.

Salvatore’s artisanal distillery was located on Via dei Mille in Noto, surrounded by a lush Sicilian garden filled with jasmine, almond, and citrus trees. There, he meticulously extracted one of the most precious floral oils using traditional steam distillation, ensuring unparalleled purity and quality. For over a decade, his premium Zagara essence was highly sought after by the prestigious perfume houses of Grasse, France, the epicenter of the global fragrance industry.

In 2011, Stefano Alderuccio, Salvatore’s grandson, revived the legacy of VIA DEI MILLE, staying true to his grandfather’s authentic distillation techniques and dedication to sustainable, high-quality raw materials. Today, the brand continues to honor Sicilian craftsmanship, offering luxurious, artisanal perfumes that celebrate the island’s rich botanical heritage and timeless elegance.
